About

Our Vision, Mission and Approach

Sharada Prabha (‘The Light of Knowledge’) offers holistic education in the lap of nature, with a vision to nurture citizens of Bharat who embody the ideals of dharma (responsibility), artha (prosperity), kama (harmony) and moksha (serenity). Our mission is to guide children in leading a modern life while remaining rooted in Vedic values.

Our Methodology

To bring our approach into practice, we have developed the koSha framework, based on sacred Sanskrit texts of Bharat, which provides the ideal environment for the holistic development of each child—physical, vital, emotional, intellectual and spiritual.

We integrate Sanskrit from Playgroup onwards, as sacred Sanskrit texts form the foundation of our educational approach. We rely on resources beyond textbooks and written homework, fostering both critical and creative thinking to equip children with the hard and soft skills necessary to solve real-life problems.

Our child-centered methodology emphasizes experiential learning, with a special focus on activity-based, inquiry-based, arts-based and storytelling-based learning—empowering children to apply knowledge practically in the real world. Our focus is on competency, based on application and self-assessment, rather than on marks, based on rote learning and competition with peers. After all, our aim is to nurture thinkers, leaders and entrepreneurs—not just toppers.

Our Curriculum

At Sharada Prabha, we weave the ancient wisdom of Bharat into the modern curriculum to raise not only academically accomplished but also creative, curious and compassionate human beings—beacons of light who illuminate this world.

From Playgroup onwards, we introduce children to not just Sanskrit but also the wisdom traditions that spring from it, including Yoga, meditation, Ayurveda and Indian classical arts. These arts and sciences are now recognized all over the world for promoting learning ability and enhancing the overall well-being of the child. We celebrate the major festivals of Bharat with engaging discussions on their cultural, spiritual and scientific significance. Here, science and spirituality are taught side by side, so children learn to observe, question, and think critically, while also developing the sensitivity to deeply connect with life around them.

Our Environment

Our lush, natural setting, sacred atmosphere and passionate teachers—along with a hands-on, interactive approach—make for an ideal learning environment for the full unfoldment of the child.

About Logo

Our Motto and Logo

‘Sharada’ means ‘Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge’ and ‘Prabha’ means ‘light’ the light of knowledge. Our motto is “sā vidyā yā vimuktaye” “Knowledge is that which liberates.” At Sharada Prabha, knowledge is not limited to mere information in textbooks, but is that which liberates the student’s mind to infinite possibilities, so they can face life’s challenges with creativity, curiosity and compassion.

Our logo depicts a rising sun and blooming lotus. The sun symbolizes the light of knowledge, and the lotus symbolizes blossoming of the child’s inner potential. At Sharada Prabha, we strive to nurture children who spread the fragrance of their true nature in the world.
